NINE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES, 24 MEDALS,

 7 NATIONAL QUALIFYING TIMES, 5 SWIMMERS

 

Five swimmers from Kingston Royals Swimming Club’s National Squad competed at the inaugural Winter Championships of the ASA’s newly formed London Swimming Region held on 26th and 27th November 2005. Taking part were Alys Thomas (15), Bradley Jones (15), Carly Hays (16), Daniel Lynagh (14) and Matthew Breckon (15). Alys brought home 7 trophies having won both Junior and Open titles in 3 of her events – 200m Butterfly, 800m Freestyle and 400m Freestyle - and Junior in the 4th event – 400m Freestyle, she also achieved 4 National Qualifying Times. Matthew won both the Junior and Open titles in the 800m Freestyle and brought home 1 trophy, 8 medals, and achieved 3 National Qualifying Times. Carly won 4 medals, Bradley won 3 medals and Daniel won 1. Bradley also won the medley skins event.

Sean Duffy and Izumi Takayama, our oldest and youngest 50m Breaststroke County Champions 2006

Sean Duffy won the Men's open 50m Breaststroke in 29.43secs, Izumi Takayama won the girls 9yr old 50m Breaststroke in 47.95 - taking 8 seconds off her entry time!
