Club Championships 

Each year there are a total of 11 Club Championships held at the Malden Centre throughout the year. 5 are held between January and July. These are for all club members in all squads. They cover all 4 strokes and also an IM in each age group. Dates for 2008

Points are awarded for all finalists and the swimmer with the highest number of points in their age group wins the Victor Ludorum trophy, which is presented at the Club’s annual Dinner and Dance. 

 


The remaining 6 Club Championships are held at the Malden Centre between September and December .

The following are for all club members in all squads - some Tadpoles and Development may be advised by their coaches not to swim the Fly!

  1. Girls 200m Back & 200m Fly, Boys 200m Free & 200m Breast
  2. Boys 200m Back & 200m Fly, Girls 200m Free & 200m Breast

The following is for all squads except some Tadpoles (Tadpole Coaches decision on who swims)

  1. 400m Free

The last 3 are only for the swimmers who will be the correct age to compete in next years County Championships in these events (Coaches will decide)

  1. 400mIM
  2. 800m Free
  3. 1500m Free

Long Distance Champs


The Borough Gala is held in May as part of the Kingston Festival of Sport and the Royals represent the majority of the competitors.

There is an extra-ordinary amount of work put in by many people to hold these galas and if any parent wishes to “get involved”, please contact the Competition Secretary.
