Social

The Social Committee organises three principal events each year, the Annual Club Dinner and Dance the Summer Barbeque and the Surrey Celebration.

The Annual Dinner and Dance takes place in November each year and in its formal part recognises the achievements of the Club and individual members throughout the year.  The Victor Ludorum Trophies for the Club Championships are presented by the President.  The Club invites a Guest of Honour each year.  Past guests have included the Mayor of the Royal Borough, the President of Surrey County Water Polo and Swimming Association as well as well-known faces in swimming circles.

Once the formalities have been concluded the Disco begins where the unfit members retire to the bar and the fit members dance the night away!

All parents are welcome and swimmers aged ten and above are encouraged to attend.  Why not make up a table with a group of parents that you spend night after night with at the Kingfisher or Malden Centre and join the Coaches and committee members as everyone lets their hair down for the night. Click here for more information.

The Surrey Celebration is held in March and celebrates the swimmers achievements in the Surrey Championships. Originally this was held as a 'breakfast' but in recent years we have held a disco with a fish and chip supper following the sprint gala, which has proved very popular.

The Summer Barbecue is held at the very beginning of September and in the past 2 years has been held at Horton Country Park.

See fixtures list for dates of social events

Other events are organised during the year subject to member's interest and swimming commitments. Suggestions and helping hands are always welcome.   Please see Philippa Hays
