London Region Bagcat Championships June 2006

Well done to Joseph Van De Wiel who achieved his first National Qualifying Time at the first weekend of the London Region Bagcat Championships held at Crystal Palace. Joseph becomes the seventh member of Kingston Royals to qualify. Joseph achieved his time swimming the first leg of the Boys 13yr old 100m Freestyle. Also over the weekend we saw our Boys 11/13yr old 4 x 100m Freestyle team achieve Gold, they have qualified for the Nationals too! The team consisted of Joseph Van de Wiel, William Stocker, Alfie Howes and James Young.

The second weekend saw more successes, James Young now has 10 National Qualifying times, and increased his number of gold medals to 10. Alfie Howes, William Stocker and James O'Hanlon added gold to their medal tally. The total number of individual medals won was 33.The 10/12 year old relay teams had great successes - the girls 4 x 50m freestyle team claiming a silver and the boys 4 x 50m freestyle team claiming bronze. The girls medley team came 5th and the boys 4th.

Other swimmers taking part were Matthew Young, Daniel Allpress, Molly Savill, Marissa North, James O'Hanlon, Vincent De Raucourt, Nicholas Shekerdemian, Sidney Howes, Mathis Clement, Emma Takayama, Sean Lavarack, Thomas Godfrey, Marion Vincer, Madeleine Garner, Hannah Hilsum-White, Paige Kern.

London Swimming Winter Championships 2006

Well Done to the swimmers who competed at the London Regional Winter Championships on 3rd, 4th and 5th November 2006 at Crook Log, Bexley Heath, between them they brought back 10 Trophies:

Alys Thomas - Junior and Open Champion in 200 Butterfly, 100 Butterfly and 800 Freestyle.

Matthew Breckon - Junior Champion 200, 400 and 800 Freestyle, Open Champion Men's 800 Freestyle

James Young -  Junior and Open Champion in Men's Junior and Open 200 IM, 2nd Men's Junior 400 and 800 Freestyle, 2nd Men's Open 800 Freestyle, 3rd Men's Junior 200 Freestyle

Also competing were Alfie Howes and Daniel Lynagh
