NATIONAL AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS 2006

COMPETITION REPORT

DAY ONE - Thurs 27th July 2006

James Young - National Champion 2006 - Boys 13yr old 200 IM

                    -  Bronze Medallist - Boys 13 yr old 100 Free

Day One saw all 4 of our Age Group swimmers competing - James Young competed in the Boys 13yr old 100 Free, and 200IM, Joseph Van De Wiel in the boys 13yr old 100 Free, and then all four swam their socks off in the Boys 11/14 4 x 100 Freestyle Relay, coming a creditable 13th having taken 2 seconds off their entry time. 

DAY TWO - Fri 28th July 2006 

James Young - Silver Medallist - Boys 13yr old 400m Free

Day Two saw James Young and William Stocker competing in the Boys 400m Freestyle. Both swam PBs and James qualified for the finals in his age group - achieving second place.

DAY THREE - Sat 29th July 2006

James Young - National Champion 2006 - Boys 13 yr old 1500 Free

Day Three saw James Young and Alfie Howes competing in the Boys 1500m Freestyle. Alfie was competing in the National Championships for the first time this year and came a very creditable 20th in his age group. James Young won the Gold in his age group, finishing 7 seconds ahead of the silver medallist.

DAY FOUR - Sun 30th July 2006

James Young - National Champion - Boys 13 yr old 800 Free and 200 Free

Day Three - William Stocker and James Young were competing again today. James Young rounded off the championships winning 2 gold medals - in the 800m and 200m Freestyle. Well done James!
