Kingston Swimmers Shine at Irish Summer National Age Group Championships 2025

Two swimmers from Kingston attended the Irish Summer National Age Group Championships which ran from Thursday, 10th July to Sunday, 13th July at the UL Arena, University of Limerick. The event brought together Ireland's top swimmers aged 12 to 14, all competing for national titles and personal bests.
Representing Kingston, Lilly-Mai Pacheco-Walsh and Olivia Sack delivered strong performances across multiple events, showcasing their dedication and potential on a national stage.
Lilly-Mai Pacheco-Walsh (Age 13)
Lilly-Mai entered 7 events and had a particularly impressive meet, qualifying for two A Finals and achieving a top 10 finish in both.
- 100m Butterfly: Lilly-Mai was in top form, swimming a time of 1:14.54 in the preliminaries, placing her 7th and earning a spot in the A Final. She followed up with a solid swim of 1:14.97 in the final to finish 9th overall.
- 200m Butterfly: Another standout event, Lilly-Mai improved significantly on her entry time, clocking 2:50.02 in the heats and qualifying 7th for the A Final. She finished 7th overall in the final with an impressive time of 2:47.84.
Lilly-Mai also gained valuable experience from her other 5 swims where she demonstrated versatility across a wide range of strokes and distances.

Olivia Sack (Age 12)
Olivia Sack also competed in three events, performing solidly and gaining valuable national competition experience.
Olivia’s participation in the championships represents a significant step in her development as a competitive swimmer and she will no doubt build on this experience in future meets.
The Irish Summer National Age Group Championships offered a platform for young athletes to test themselves against the best in the country. Both Lilly-Mai and Olivia represented Kingston with pride and determination, gaining invaluable experience on a national stage.
Their performances reflect the hard work they and their coaches have put in throughout the season.
