The Kingston Royals Junior Water Polo Team was formed in September 2017.
The team is managed by Steve Luff who is a member of the Kingston Royals Senior Water Polo team and coached by members of the senior squad George Walker, William Makepeace, Tim Goff and Toby Makepeace.
As with the rest of the Club, the Junior Water Polo ethos is about inclusion, teamwok and skill development. Water Polo is a physical sport that requires ball skills and aerobic conditioning. Kingston Royals Water Polo are always on the lookout for new recruits and, if you need any further information or wish to register your interest, please contact the Water Polo Rep, Toby Makepeace.
Kingston Royals Junior Water Polo works in conjunction with Aquademy Sports (https://aquademysports.co.uk/) with a learn to play programme for the more junior players (5.15 p.m. - 6.15 p.m. on Friday) before progressing up to the main club night. Water Polo is open to both male and female swimmers aged 9-16 and individiuals will be assessed on a trial basis to see if they like it and which session is most suitable.
Note: Water Polo is a contact sport and, while there may be accidental collisions from time to time, swimmers will be reminded and encouraged to demonstrate the correct attitude in both training and competitions.
